Job summary

Ceredigion County Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join the ALN Sensory Service Team on a temporary, part-time (term-time only) basis, based in the specialist hearing resource provision. The role involves supporting access to learning for pupils with severe and/or complex needs, including providing specific medical assistance where required, and working with schools to assist pupil transitions between primary and secondary settings.

DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Supervise and support pupils individually or in groups, ensuring safety and access to learning.
• Attend to pupils' personal and physical needs.
• Assist with planning and delivery of specific learning activities in various settings.
• Use strategies to help pupils achieve learning goals.
• Establish constructive relationships and liaise with other agencies/professionals.
• Supervise pupils on visits, trips and out-of-school activities with health and safety in mind.
