Job summary

Worsbrough Common Primary School is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND, including hearing impairments, under the guidance of teaching staff and the SENDCo. You will deliver targeted interventions, adapt activities for a diverse range of needs, and promote independence and wellbeing.

The role involves working with families and external professionals to implement personalised plans and EHCPs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to adapt activities for ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Deliver structured intervention programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups with SEND.
• Adapt learning activities and communication approaches to meet wide range of needs.
• Promote pupil independence, confidence and inclusion.
• Deliver structured intervention programmes and measure impact.
• Support EHCPs and personalised plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo, parents/carers and external professionals.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence.
