About Us & The Role
Queens Academy is opening a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for pupils from KS2 with Cognition & Learning needs. The SRP will have its own classroom providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children who need support at a higher level than the mainstream classroom.
Pupils in the SRP will be assessed and learning subsequently planned to meet their individual needs, encompassing both the National Curriculum, their EHCP, and a focus on cognition and learning development.

We welcome applications from teachers with experience of teaching in an Early years or primary setting who have the ability to transfer their skills to working with pupils who have cognition and learning needs and communication and interaction difficulties. We would also welcome applications from teachers who have experience in teaching in mainstream or specialist schools.
