Job summary

Agincare is recruiting compassionate, experienced carers to support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in Oldland Common. Roles welcome days, evenings, weekends and waking nights. Full training including PBS, flexible contracts, and progression opportunities.

You will provide person-centred support, help with daily living and independence, and work within a supportive, values-led team. A full UK driving licence is desirable and a minimum right to work of 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Ability to stay calm, patient and empathetic in challenging situations.
• Commitment to person-centred support and PBS approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centred support to adults with complex needs.

Many of the people we support have experienced trauma, exclusion, or services that haven’t worked for them. Your role will be to provide consistent, person-centred support, helping individuals build safer, more independent and fulfilling lives.

You’ll use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches, follow support plans, encourage community participation, and support people with daily living, personal care and developing independence.

If you have:

• Experience and a good knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism
• Experience and a good knowledge of working with complex behaviours or high support needs
• The ability to stay calm, patient and empathetic in challenging situations
• Commitment to person-centred support and PBS approaches
• A full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work is required
• We have full time, part time, waking nights and bank positions available

Oldland Commonis a newly built service with six self-contained homes for adults with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Our aim is to help people move on from hospital settings, settle into the community, build independence and live meaningful lives.
