We have an exciting opportunity to join our specialist stroke community rehab team within the Angus Occupational Therapy Service. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary AHP team which includes physiotherapists and speech & language therapists in delivering a specialist stroke rehab service to the people of Angus. The team are based in three locations across Angus: Arbroath Infirmary, Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre, Forfar and Stracathro Hospital, Brechin. We work closely with our colleagues in the in-patient rehab teams within Royal Victoria Hospital & Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, the stroke liaison team, the wider multi-disciplinary team and third sector who all have a focus on developing excellent stroke care to support people as they return to their own home for ongoing rehabilitation.

The Dundee and Angus Stroke Pathway work, links directly with the Tayside Managed Clinical Network for stroke, and both local and national frameworks. The team is based within Angus Occupational Therapy service which sits within the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.

We are keen to welcome individuals who are knowledgeable about stroke and have a passion for goal orientated stroke rehabilitation to deliver care within the community setting. This includes working with patients in their own homes, workplaces and local community and at outpatient appointments across Angus, therefore being a car driver is an essential part of the role.

You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
