Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to support children and young people in Powys, Wales. The role focuses on assessments, tailored interventions, and collaboration with education and therapy colleagues to embed communication strategies across school settings.

The position is part-time, term-time only (41 weeks/year), with HCPC registration and experience in autism and SEND frameworks preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible to practice as a Speech & Language Therapist in the UK.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience supporting children with autism and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for children and young people with complex needs.
• Design and deliver tailored intervention programmes for individuals and groups.
• Support learners with communication, AAC, and eating/drinking challenges where appropriate.
• Collaborate with education, care, and therapeutic professionals to embed communication strategies.
