Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to support pupils with complex needs across Swansea schools. The role focuses on tailored communication support for pupils with autism, learning disabilities, and other needs, within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will deliver assessments, interventions and training, while contributing to EHCP and IDP planning in a term-time framework (41 weeks per year) with a competitive pro rata salary and

Qualifications

Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
Experience delivering training, coaching or workforce development.
Post-registration experience with autistic pupils and complex needs.

Responsibilities

Delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for pupils with complex communication needs.
Managing a varied caseload including pupils with autism and learning disabilities.
Supporting communication, AAC, and eating/drinking needs.
Developing and implementing individualised therapy programmes for pupils and groups.
Providing consultation and coaching to education, care and therapy colleagues.
Delivering training to staff, families and carers to promote effective communication strategies.
Leading and promoting communication-friendly environments in schools.
Contributing to EHCP/IDP reviews and wider service development.
