Overview

Join Our Client as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

We’re looking for passionate, HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team to provide and lead speech and language therapy input within the BIRT Neuro-behavioural model for people with acquired brain injury (ABI). This includes assessment, therapy, staff training, and liaison with families and professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Location and Details

Location: Milton Keynes
Rate: £47,810 - £54,710 DOE FTE
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Part-Time, 24hrs per week

Responsibilities
  • Lead SaLT provision within the service as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
  • Manage a complex caseload, using evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and set rehabilitation goals, care plans, and therapy programmes.
  • Provide communication and swallowing assessments, therapy, and staff training in safe dysphagia management.
  • Produce accurate reports, care plans, and professional documentation in line with HCPC and organisational standards.
  • Ensure safeguarding, risk management, and duty of care are upheld at all times.
  • Maintain professional registration and keep up to date with best practice.
