Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Head and Neck) to join the H&N SLT team at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. The post covers inpatient and outpatient settings, including MDT clinics, with the team’s supervision and support responsibilities.

The role focuses on assessment, therapy and management plans across the service, contributing to training and development in a fast-paced acute environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent licence to practice.
• Registered member of RCSLT
• Registered member of HCPC
• Evidence of CPD portfolio and post-graduate competencies in dysphagia and FEES/Videofluoroscopy

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the H&N caseload with assessment, therapy and management plans across inpatients and outpatients.
• Working as part of an MDT and providing supervision to team members.
• Contributing to training for MDT and other stakeholders.
