Job summary

Positive Futures is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a therapy team in a specialist school near Norwich. The role involves providing assessment and intervention for students aged 6 to 16 with communication needs, including dyslexia and autism spectrum considerations.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based SLT services, attend Annual Review meetings, and support families and professionals with intervention plans.

Qualifications

• Registered with RCSLT and HCPC.
• Professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of young people with complex needs in a specialist education setting.
• Collaborate with senior SLTs, Clinical Lead and SLT to manage workload efficiently.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues and maintain accurate records.
• Undertake autonomous assessment including specialist assessments and measure outcomes against EHCP/Annual Review.
• Prepare concise reports for Annual Review meetings and contribute to reviews.
• Lead teaching of other multi-disciplinary team members on speech and language therapy aspects.
• Use specialist software to produce easy-read resources for classrooms and therapy.
