Job summary

Locala Health and Wellbeing is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Children’s Expert Team) for the North Kirklees area, covering Dewsbury, Batley and Spenborough. The post is a 22.5-hour week fixed-term contract with potential extension, working across community settings including schools and homes.

Qualifications

• Experience with EDS and complex SLCN across settings is essential.
• A relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy is required.
• DBS check and right to work in the UK are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and deliver care to children with EDS and SLCN.
• Work independently and as part of the MDT to support families and colleagues across health, education and social care.
• Maintain your clinical knowledge and pursue ongoing professional development.
