Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust Paediatric Physiotherapy service and Wheelchair Service have created an exciting post which aims to form a seamless service for the paediatric population. This is a full-time post with a 50/50 split between both services.
The post holder must have paediatric physiotherapy experience at either an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 level. It would be beneficial but not essential to have previous wheelchair experience. Training in this area will be provided.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. The post holder will hold a Paediatric Physiotherapy caseload of children aged 0-19 with complex neurological problems based at Hexham Hospital. They will undertake assessments and treatment of children and young people working in various settings including patients' homes and schools. To provide a highly specialised paediatric physiotherapy service for children with a variety of complex and challenging conditions.
