Position: Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

We are seeking a full-time Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be confident and competent in physiotherapy assessment and management of children and young people aged 0 to 19 years with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Knowledge and expertise in therapy treatments, including the use of specialist equipment, and providing support and line management to less experienced staff and students are essential.

Salary: This role attracts a market supplement to align the salary with NHS Band 7.

About the role

As a highly specialist neurodevelopmental paediatric physiotherapist, you will work autonomously across various settings, providing high-quality physiotherapy support to children and young people with disabilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support gross motor development and provide specialist advice to other disciplines.

The purpose of this role is to:

1. Provide neurodevelopmental paediatric physiotherapy services to children aged 0-18 (up to 19 in special schools) with developmental disorders and neurological disabilities, including complex and long-term disabilities.
2. Conduct physiotherapy assessments using standardised assessments and outcome measures.
3. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, and other professionals to maintain a holistic view and provide comprehensive support.
4. Promote functional independence through assessment and prescription of equipment and aids as needed.

About you

We are looking for passionate professionals committed to making a positive impact on children and young people's lives. The ideal candidate will have:

• BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy
• HCPC registration
• CSP registration
• Extensive experience working with children with complex neurodisabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, ABI, and neuromuscular conditions.
• Strong skills in assessment, planning, and autonomous working.
• Ability to prepare clear reports, including EHCPs.
