We have an exciting opportunity for a well-motivated Audiologist to join us in the Paediatric Audiology Team at the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Broomfield Hospital.
The post is to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 12 months working full time (37.5 hours per week).
Main duties of the job
You will be a qualified Audiologist with an interest in paediatric audiology or a desire to build on your paediatric experience.
You will be expected to undertake diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology within the paediatric Audiology service for children from 5 years to 18 years.
You will also be expected to support, as required, with assessment of children under 5 years, complex cases, and young adults.
You should be confident in fitting, maintaining, and verifying NHS hearing aids.
There is potential for you to gain further experience and training in diagnostic assessments of babies from birth up to 5 years. This includes auditory brainstem response audiometry, oto-acoustic emissions, and visual reinforcement audiometry.
