Milk Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a Specialist SEND Secondary School in Ashington. The role supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism and SEMH, in a caring team committed to inclusion and personalised support.

Qualifications

• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• Recent experience in a school, SEND setting or education environment.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, SEMH, ADHD or learning difficulties.
• Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• DBS on update service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to meet individual SEND needs.
• Deliver personalised learning activities and interventions for academic, social and emotional development.
• Adapt lessons and resources with teachers to meet a range of learning needs.
• Promote a calm, inclusive learning environment where every student feels safe and valued.
• Support students with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
