Job summary

Rising Hope Education is urgently recruiting two Specialist SEND Teaching Assistants to join established specialist SEN schools in Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge from September. Roles are full-time, long-term, supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of SEND.

You will work with teachers and SEND professionals to provide consistent, individualized support throughout the school day. Start 2 September 2026, pay £105–£115 per day PAYE, hours 08:30–16:00, Mon-Fri, two vacancies.

Qualifications

• Experience within SEND would be extremely valuable.
• Able to remain patient and resilient when supporting pupils with complex needs.
• Strong collaboration with teachers and SEND professionals to support individual plans.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers and SEND professionals to provide consistent, individualized support.
• Support pupils with autism and communication needs to access learning.
• Use visual communication, structured routines, and PECS or similar approaches where appropriate.
• Support sensory and emotional regulation and help manage transitions between activities.
• Record observations and progress and communicate with the team.
