Job summary

Ganton School is seeking a dedicated Specialist Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to work with our pupils who have a wide range of special educational needs, including complex medical needs. You will support learning across the primary department, both one-to-one and in small groups, and assist with personal care where necessary.

Qualifications

• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning with detailed feedback to teachers on attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
• Supervises and provides specialist SEN support, ensuring safety and access to learning activities for individuals with diverse needs.
• Support the academic, social, emotional and development of learners with complex needs and EAL, adapting approaches accordingly.
• Assist with development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate learning activities and provide feedback to teachers.
• Support individuals with SEN, personal and health needs.
