This Band 7 post offers 6‑month rotations across ICU, Surgery, NICU, Infectious Diseases, and more, with opportunities to lead service improvements and mentor junior staff.

The role supports regional NHS priorities, working within a large Trust and collaborating with Lead Pharmacists while developing advanced clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients on a rotational basis.
• Teach and supervise less experienced pharmacists, technicians and students.
• Support the Lead Highly Specialist Pharmacists and contribute to a weekend/late shift service, with on-call duties as required.

Are you a Band 6 Clinical Pharmacist due to complete the first-year of the clinical diploma in the next couple of months? Or, are you an established Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist eager to expand your clinical expertise within a leading teaching hospital and regional centre of excellence? Our progressive Pharmacy Department is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking clinical pharmacist to join our team of Clinical Rotational Band 7 Pharmacists. Working closely alongside our expert Lead Pharmacists, you will work through a series of 6-month rotations. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in each clinical specialty, while actively developing vital transferable skills in leadership, mentorship and service improvement to significantly enrich your professional portfolio. By taking on this role you will benefit from working in a large NHS Trust which has strong links with the ICB. Rotations include;

• Surgical Admissions
• Technical Services
• Pharmacoeconomics & ICB
• NICU
• Trauma and Orthopaedics
• Elective Orthopaedic Surgery
• Neurosciences
• Same Day Emergency Care
• Acute Medical & Frailty Admissions
• Infectious Diseases; Antimicrobial Stewardship and HCID
• NHS@Home
• HIV, Specialist Medicine including; Respiratory, Palliative Care, and Renal., To provide specialist clinical pharmacy services at a high level to inpatients and outpatients on a rotational basis.
• To provide support to the Lead Highly Specialist Pharmacists.
• To act in accordance with Medicines legislation, the code of ethics of the General Pharmaceutical Council, United Kingdom Medicines Information (UKMI) standards and Trust policies and procedures.
• To teach and supervise less experienced pharmacists, technicians and students
• To contribute to the Pharmacy weekend service, late nights and bank holiday working
