Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is offering a permanent Clinical Pharmacist (Specialist) role. You will rotate across surgery, cardiovascular & thoracic, orthopaedics and neurology, based full-time in each area during rotations and learn from local experts.

The trust is renowned for its large, innovative pharmacy team and career development opportunities. You will apply clinical knowledge daily, support ward teams and contribute to complex ward rounds, including microbiology

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Pharmacy required.
GPhC registration for practising in the UK.
Foundation framework/GLF competencies demonstrated.
Audit and evaluative work experience.
Experience of teaching and tutoring.
Postgraduate diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Join band 7 pharmacists rotating 9 months through surgery, CVT, orthopaedics and neurology.
Based in the areas full-time for each rotation and learn from local experts.
Apply clinical knowledge daily and support ward teams and the wider pharmacy department.
Contribute to specialist ward rounds including microbiology and inpatient pain service.
