Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Primary SEND Teacher for inclusive classrooms in our specialist network. Immediate start or next term, full-time or part-time (term-time only), with a creative, child-centred approach to learning and strong collaboration with Therapists and LSAs.

You will deliver bespoke lessons, adapt the Primary curriculum to EHCP targets, and lead a small team in a supportive, low-arousal environment. QTS and SEND experience are essential; DBS update service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS and experience within a Primary setting (EYFS/KS1/KS2).
• Be a SEND Advocate with interest/experience in ASC, PMLD, SLD, or SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Bespoke Lesson Delivery: adapt the Primary curriculum into sensory stories and life skills sessions.
• Communication Leadership: use total communication environments including Makaton, PECS, and Colourful Semantics.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: liaise with therapists to integrate goals into daily routines.
• Team Leadership: manage a team of LSAs/TAs with a low-arousal approach to behaviour management.
