Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the National Spinal Injuries Centre Team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. You will assess and treat patients with spinal cord injuries, functioning as an autonomous practitioner within a specialist clinical and interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
• Physiotherapy degree or diploma.
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience.
• Experience working with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients.
• Evidence of CPD and reflective practice, with a full driving licence and car for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with spinal cord injuries and complex needs as an autonomous practitioner.
• Determine most appropriate locations for delivering input across ward, clinic, department and community settings.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate patient records compliant with Trust requirements.
• Coordinate patient-related activities with multidisciplinary team and carers to enable goal-setting.
• Identify situations requiring senior input and seek advice when needed.
