Job description

We are seeking a motivated senior physiotherapist to join the Specialist Weight Management Service in Trafford. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering clients to achieve their movement goals and improve their lifestyle.

About the Service

The service is a Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management MDT comprising nurse therapists, physiotherapists, and dietitians. It offers lifestyle programmes for individuals with a BMI over 40kg/m²], including group education sessions, disordered eating pathways, and bariatric surgery education. We are dedicated to providing a compassionate, client-focused service.

Role Responsibilities

1. Manage a caseload of patients referred to the physiotherapy pathway, developing treatment plans to increase daily activity based on patient goals.
2. Assess clients' physical health in accordance with service protocols.
3. Deliver practice sensitive to the needs of clients, carers, and relatives from diverse cultural backgrounds.
4. Use facilitation skills to conduct group education sessions.
5. Develop specialist care programmes supported by Senior Practitioners, incorporating current best practices and patient feedback.
6. Perform home visits as needed.
7. Travel to various community venues across Trafford, transporting equipment when necessary.

Additional Information

Programmes are primarily clinic-based, with some group sessions and home visits, delivered face-to-face or virtually. CPD is valued, and support will be provided for your professional development.
