Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Community Rehabilitation Team based from Holsworthy. The role involves a varied caseload across neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic and falls work, with opportunities to supervise staff, contribute to student education, and help shape service development.

The successful candidate will work in community settings, travel as required and be supported by supervision and appraisal

Job summary

We have an exciting substantive, full time opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, with for a Band 5, in the Community Rehabilitation Team based from Holsworthy, in North Devon.

The Rehabilitation Team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Clinical Support Workers, provide a therapy rehabilitation service to the community of the Bideford and district locality as part of an integrated, dynamic, award winning Health and Social Care Team.

This post will be based from Bideford Hospital and the successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of clinical duties in a variety of community settings, to provide care for both acute and chronic patients. The case load will be extremely variable, including neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, falls work and urgent care work. Additionally, there will be a supervisory role for other staff grades, the opportunity to be involved with student education and the opportunity to help shape how the service is developed to gain the best for the patients. Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role is essential.
