Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced band 5 or band 6 equivalent physiotherapist to join our onsite physiotherapy team. We provide person-centred specialist physiotherapy services to children and adults at the David Lewis School, College, and Residential Services.

About Us:

The David Lewis Centre is located within 200 acres of Cheshire countryside, just outside Alderley Edge. Our physiotherapy team offers specialist therapy to residents and attendees of our onsite school and college, utilizing various settings including our dedicated therapy department, hydrotherapy pool, rebound room, swimming pool, onsite farm, sports complex, and other facilities within walking distance.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, learning disability nurses, support teams, and behavior specialists.

You will support the development of physiotherapy services, assess and treat a diverse caseload ranging from pediatrics to adults with complex disabilities, and manage hydrotherapy and rebound therapy caseloads, with training provided as needed.

There is an option for some remote work, supporting service improvement projects, training, and audits.

The department operates Monday-Friday, with no weekend, evening, or bank holiday duties.

Requirements:

  • Recognized Physiotherapy Degree and HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with support and training available in specialized areas.
  • Experience in neurology, musculoskeletal, or cardio-respiratory areas is preferred.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork and physiotherapy's role within it.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to apply physiotherapeutic interventions across settings.
  • Ability to teach and support students and staff; clinical educator training is desirable but not essential.
  • Membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is preferred.
