Job summary

You'll be involved in perioperative patient care, including administering IV medication and post-operative care such as sheath removal. The role requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals. A new radiology development pathway is available to support your growth, helping you gain the competencies needed for the Band 6 Specialist Peri-Operative Practitioner role, with training lasting up to 24 months. As you progress, youll be able to work on call across both sites. This role is ideal for those pursuing a career in radiology theatres, offering the chance to gain essential competencies under the guidance of experienced colleagues. You'll build specialist knowledge, preparing you for a Senior Peri-Operative Practitioner role. You'll deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient use of resources. After completing the training, you will lead a sub-specialty within Interventional Radiology, such as neurology, tissue viability, or infection control. You'll work with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient care, theatre performance, and quality, while also contributing to the evaluation of pre- and post-operative care. Regular updates with the senior nursing team are also included in the role.
