Job summary

The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, Surrey, is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the School Therapy Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role offers a competitive salary of £53,751 - £60,651 per annum, inclusive of London weighting, and a 37.5-hour week.

• Experience in complex environments with neurodisabilities.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based SLT interventions for children and young people.
• Lead SLT provision for The Children’s Trust School in partnership with MDT/Education services.
• Support MDT regarding tracheostomy impact on speaking and swallowing after assessment of laryngeal integrity, secretion management and swallow.
• Undertake specialist SLT assessments of children with highly complex needs.
• Devise suitable, individual SLT plans fit within daily routines for parents or MDT.
• Be autonomous practitioner with responsibility for assessment, treatment, and planning for an allocated caseload.
