Job summary

Provide CIC is seeking a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric OT team based at Kestrel House, Chelmsford. The role includes visiting schools, nurseries and homes, and collaborating with families and teaching staff to support children's development.

We offer supervision, appraisals, training opportunities and some online services; you will work across community settings including hospitals and clinics to deliver high‑quality care to children and families in Essex

Qualifications

• Needs to undertake occupational therapy assessment and clinical diagnosis.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans using specialist knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Gain consent and undertake occupational therapy assessment, clinically diagnose, formulate and implement treatment plans using specialist knowledge and experience.
• Obtain information relevant to patient care, recognise when goals are met or achievable and ensure appropriate discharge/ongoing care.
• Provide hands-on treatment and demonstrate highly developed observational skills for the assessment and therapeutic handling of patients to facilitate movement and development of physical skills and function.
