Evora Hospice in Newry seeks a Specialist Occupational Therapist (Temp-fixed term) to provide expert OT services within a palliative care context. You will work in an inpatient unit as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering patient-centred assessment, planning and rehabilitation.

You must be HCPC registered with an OT degree, have 3+ years post-grad experience, and be able to coordinate with carers and external services.

Formación

• Registered with HCPC and recognised OT degree.
• Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience.
• Experience in providing OT intervention to palliative care patients.
• Experience in postural management and adaptive equipment.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and standards.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, establish and deliver OT services across all clinical areas within the Hospice.
• Assess/address physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of daily living to improve independence.
• Plan, implement and monitor patient-centred treatment and rehabilitation.
• Evaluate outcomes with patient, carers and MDT at set times.
• Provide group or individual OT interventions (anxiety, dyspnoea, fatigue).
• Promote use of creative activities to maximise quality of life.
• Liaise with external services for equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and statistics.
