Your Role

Service Line: Personality Disorder (Female)

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Aspen Clinic. The successful candidate will be appointed at either Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent, depending on their skills and experience.

Post: Band 6 equivalent Occupational Therapist

Salary: £39,015 – £46,981 (full-time equivalent, dependent on experience)

Post: Band 7 equivalent Occupational Therapist

Site: Cygnet Aspen Clinic

Hours: 40 hours (full-time)

Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover) – 6 months with potential for permanent role

Location: Cygnet Aspen Clinic, Mexborough, S64 9EX

Cygnet Aspen Clinic is a specialist service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex needs. We provide assessment, stabilization, treatment, and rehabilitation for up to 16 women.

Our service users may have complex trauma histories or have experienced placement breakdowns. We offer a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach focusing on recovery and co-production with service users.

We operate an integrated modular approach to treatment, including models like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

This position offers an opportunity to develop occupational therapy services at Aspen Clinic. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality assessments and interventions supporting patient recovery using evidence-based approaches.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other professionals to enhance outcomes and promote functional independence. You will also supervise the Occupational Therapy Assistant, ensuring high standards of practice and professional growth.

Occupational Therapy Directorate

Our team supports over 180 Occupational Therapists and 300 OT support staff. We foster support and development through specialist interest groups and service development opportunities.

Each service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to guide evidence-based practice and pathway development, with regular meetings to facilitate this.

We encourage our occupational therapists to participate in service model development, leveraging the expertise of our clinical leads.
