We have an exciting opportunity to recruit for the OT Band 6 rotation within the acute services at Victoria Hospital and the HSCP in ICT at Whytemans Brae Hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to work alongside colleagues in the Acute Medical OT Team, the Integrated Community Team, and the Frailty Team within AU1. The role requires a strong interest in working with a range of conditions, predominantly with patients living with frailty, to develop specialist skills and knowledge to deliver effective, evidence-based care. The goal is to optimise occupational performance and support safe and timely discharge from hospital.
You will manage your own caseload, participate in multi-agency working, and engage in quality improvement activities both collectively and independently. There are opportunities to develop additional competencies within Physiotherapy and basic nursing skills to support integrated working.
We ask for engagement with weekend working, supported by flexible work patterns. We consider flexible working arrangements, provide hybrid undergraduate placements, and support selective home working for non-clinical tasks. During the Frailty Team rotation, there is an expectation to undertake 12.5-hour shift patterns, including weekends.
Join our friendly departments! You will receive in-service training, regular appraisal and PDP meetings, leadership development opportunities, and support from peers and management.
