Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 MRI radiographer to join the MRI team across three sites: Royal Preston Hospital, Chorley District Hospital, and a Community Diagnostic Centre mobile scanner.

You will perform a broad range of MR examinations for adults and paediatric patients in outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiographic duties across 3 sites (Royal Preston Hospital, Chorley District Hospital, Community Diagnostic Centre mobile scanner).
• Manage workflow for out-patients, in-patients and ED patients.
• Report equipment failures and incidents per Trust policy.
• Participate in department audits, governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Comply with MHRA guidelines and local policies to ensure safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students.
• Participate in an on-call rota and extended days.
