Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Maths Tutor to support learners in a specialist post-16 setting in Harrogate from September 2026. You will deliver engaging Maths lessons, helping learners build confidence and numeracy skills while meeting individual learning goals.

The role is full-time and long-term, with potential for permanent placement. You will work with learners with SEND and collaborate with staff to create inclusive, accessible lessons and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Maths.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Level 5 Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience is desirable.
• Passionate about supporting learners with SEND.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills or GCSE Maths is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support learners working towards Functional Skills or GCSE Maths qualifications.
• Differentiate learning to ensure every learner can access the curriculum.
