Job summary

City College Norwich is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Communication Support Worker) to join the Inclusion Services Team, providing essential support to students with learning disabilities and/or difficulties across City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College.

This role involves supporting students who require British Sign Language interpretation and Additional Support, contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Up to level 6 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL).
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to students with learning disabilities across City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College.
• Support students who require British Sign Language interpretation and Additional Support in an inclusive learning environment.

Hours: 35 per week, term time (38 weeks)

Salary: £27,994 - £29,856 (FTE) | Actual: £22,193 - £23,669

We are looking for a passionate Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Communication Support Worker) to join our Inclusion Services Team. You will provide essential support to students with learning disabilities and/or difficulties across City College Norwich, Easton College, and Paston College.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Up to level 6 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) (Level 3 or below will not be considered)
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support (or equivalent)
