Main duties of the job
  • Deliver specialist paediatricdietetic care to children, young people, families, and healthcare professionalsacross hospital and community settings.
  • Manage an autonomous caseload in both inpatientareas (Childrens Ward and Childrens Assessment Unit) and outpatient clinics.
  • Provide nutritional assessment, treatment, andmanagement for a wide range of conditions, including cows milk allergy,multiple food allergies, restricted eating, faltering growth, and coeliacdisease.
  • Facilitate group education sessions for childrenwith restricted eating behaviours.
  • Gain experience in managing children requiringartificial enteral tube feeding.
  • Use evidence-based practice to assess, plan,implement, and evaluate dietetic interventions, ensuring care is holistic andpatient-centred.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensivedietetic records according to professional and local standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsincluding paediatricians, GPs, community teams, and specialist services.
  • Participate in clinical audit, servicedevelopment, and student training to support continuous service improvement.
