Are you a dietitian with a genuine interest and experience in gastroenterology and nutritional support?Would you like to expand your knowledge in this area within a teaching hospital environment?We have an exciting opportunity for a dietitian to enhance their skills and knowledge within a post which will combine working with outpatients and inpatients in this speciality as part of our team at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust.This is a permanent part-time role (0.6 WTE band 6) which will include working as part of a dynamic and flexible team.
Main duties of the jobIn addition to this summary, please familiarise yourself with full Job Description & Person Specification documents attached.The post holder will deliver dietetic gastroenterology outpatient clinics, via telephone or video consultations, supporting conditions including Coeliac disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, disorders of the gut-brain axis, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency and more. Supporting people with oral nutritional support &a small number of home enteral feeding patients.For one day per week the post holder will support the gastro dietetic team with their inpatient caseload, working in areas such as gastroenterology, hepatology, colorectal and HPB which will enable the successful candidate to gain further experience in a wide range of conditions.You will be involved with cover as part of the wider dietetic teams at NUH. The dietitian is a respected member of the MDT and you will have opportunity to work closely with the team in delivering high quality nutritional care to these patient groups.You'll need excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload within a supportive team.We expect you to be enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active to develop skills, experience and service development in a supportive environment.You would be supported by senior members of the team working in gastroenterology, hepatology, HPB and intestinal failure.
