A Full-time position has arisen for a Specialised Dental Nurse to work within the Oral Maxillofacial/Orthodontic Department at County Hospital.
As a Qualified Specialised Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the service in ensuring that our service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.
The post holder is required to hold a recognised Dental Nursing qualification, be GDC registered, and have essential post qualifications in Dental Radiography and Oral Health Education Certificate post registration qualification.
You must be able to prepare, organise, and maintain the highest standards of care in the clinical environment for Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics at County and Rest. You should be flexible with a professional manner and possess excellent communication skills. You will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team ensuring that the needs of the patients are placed at the centre of care delivery. In return, we will encourage your professional development by ensuring you gain experience in all aspects of our service, whilst enhancing your skills and knowledge through a personal development plan with access to educational resources both locally and beyond. The post is situated at County Hospital Stafford but you would be expected to cross cover at Royal Stoke; some evening and weekend work may be required.

This is a band 4 post until such time as the post holder gains 2 years’ experience within the department in order for progression to band 5 to occur.
This is a multidisciplinary department which requires a Specialised Dental Nurse to work within the specialities Oral Maxillofacial, Orthodontic, and Restorative providing nurse-led clinics. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, highly motivated, using their own initiative and work well within a team. They will need to have a supportive, caring attitude and be committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients.
