Job summary

NHS Tayside’s Perth team is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Community Dietitian to deliver dietetic care across community settings, including home enteral feeding, GP practices, community hospitals, and care homes. The role emphasizes collaboration with health and care colleagues and proactive clinical care, service improvement and pathway development.

Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people living in Perth and Kinross?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Community Dietitian to join one of our dynamic and friendly Tayside teams. The post offers an excellent opportunity to deliver a wide range of community based nutritional care with an emphasis on nutrition support, (including home enteral feeding) in Perthshire community settings such as GP practices, community hospitals, patients’ homes and care homes. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other health and care colleagues, taking a pro-active approach to the clinical care of patients, service improvement, education and pathway development.

The post holder will also provide dietetic support to NHS Tayside’s Long Term Conditions Service. There will also be a requirement to provide occasional ward cover in Perth Royal Infirmary.

The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of Dietetic Support Workers and/or a Band 5 Rotational Dietitian. Excellent team working and communication skills are therefore essential in this role, as is the ability to work independently.

Hours of work are: 22 per week. Please note that the salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.
