Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work within CAMHS in a multi-disciplinary setting, managing a defined caseload and delivering specialist OT services. The post is fixed-term for 12 months and based at Aranthrue Centre, Renfrewshire, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and a practice education qualification (or the ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential.
• Experience in mental health and/or with young people is desirable.
• Must have or be willing to gain a practice education qualification.

Responsibilities

• Work within Renfrewshire CAMHS within a multi-agency structure.
• Independently manage a caseload of complex cases, taking on the role of care manager/key worker as required.
• Assess occupational needs using specialist skills to plan, implement, grade and evaluate treatment programmes with risk assessment.
• Assess individuals to determine the need for OT intervention through client-centred practice.
• Collaborate with service users to identify goals as part of the care plan using standardised assessment tools.
