Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join Specialist Children's Services at the Aranthrue Centre. This fixed-term post is for 12 months, working 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team, independently managing a caseload of complex cases and providing OT assessments and interventions for young people. HCPC registration and a relevant degree are required; PVG checks may be needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised programme.
• Registered with the HCPC and eligible to practice.
• Must hold or gain a practice education qualification.
• Up-to-date mandatory and statutory training (e.g., Fire safety).
• Specialist knowledge/skills in OT for mental health and/or youth.

Responsibilities

• Work within Renfrewshire CAMHS in a multi-agency structure.
• Independently manage a caseload of complex cases as care manager/key worker.
• Assess needs using highly specialist OT skills to plan and evaluate treatment with risk assessment.
• Assess individuals to determine OT intervention needs through client-centred practice.
• Collaborate with service users to set goals within the care plan using standardised tools.
