A leading healthcare provider in Coventry is seeking a skilled laboratory technician for their Cellular Pathology service. This role involves performing laboratory investigations, ensuring the accuracy of results, and participating in quality assurance schemes. The Cellular Pathology service is a rapidly expanding part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Network, based at Coventry (University Hospital), Nuneaton (George Eliot Hospital), and Warwick (South Warwickshire Hospital). It provides a comprehensive range of Pathology services to approximately 1 million residents and maintains a close relationship with Warwick University's Medical School. The network features digital slide scanning on both sites, with 100% of slides scanned at UHCW, including screening cases.
Our Histology department is undergoing major procurement, with new main lab and IHC equipment expected by the end of this year. This upgrade aims to improve turnaround times and offers an opportunity to redesign workflows and processes, inviting your involvement.
