Job description

We are offering an opportunity to join our organization as a Biomedical Scientist at Band 6 level within the Microbiology department at the Charing Cross site. We seek motivated and committed individuals who are dedicated to providing high-quality patient services.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Specialist Diploma or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years post-registration experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills across Microbiology disciplines
• Experience working in all sections of Microbiology; familiarity with Kiestra and Urimast is advantageous
• Previous experience in a busy hospital laboratory
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Job Details

Work pattern: 7-day rotating shifts, 37.5 hours/week. Candidates should have a desire to learn and develop within a dynamic laboratory environment. Opportunities for professional growth are available.

NWLP Induction

The induction program occurs on the first Monday of each month (excluding bank holidays) and includes laboratory training relevant to the role. All new staff are required to attend during their first week.

• Monday 1 September 2025
