Job summary

Elms Bank School and College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our supportive team. This role supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including those with complex learning needs, communication challenges, and challenging behaviours.

You will assist teachers with lesson delivery, contribute to planning and assessment, prepare resources, and supervise short-term class needs.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and willingness to undertake specialist training such as Team Teach, communication strategies, and therapy-based interventions would be advantageous.
• Ability to deliver individual and small-group interventions and support learning alongside teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND and assist with lesson planning and assessment.
• Prepare resources and materials for lessons.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence as required.
• Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion among pupils.
