Zusammenfassung

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a permanent Band 3 Clinical Support Worker for the Special School Team. The role is term-time, Monday to Friday 08:30-16:00, supporting children in school-based nursing settings across five sites in Halifax and Huddersfield.

You will work under the nurse team to deliver care to children and young people up to 19 with complex medical needs, participate in safeguarding, and develop professionally through on-the-job training.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with children is essential.
• Ability to care for children with complex medical needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work term-time across multiple sites.
• Ability to work independently under nursing supervision.

Aufgaben

• Deliver agreed patient care plans to groups of children/young people without direct supervision within competency.
• Administer medications as trained under care plans with nurse support.
• Complete accurate documentation on System1 during the school day.
• Act as a resource for families and children with health care needs.
• Collaborate with GPs, HVs, and other health professionals to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain standards of care and adherence to policies/procedures.
• Assist in equipment delivery and maintenance.
• Attend annual mandatory training and regular team meetings.
