Job summary

Ysgol Y Deri Special School in Barry is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team supporting pupils with a range of needs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only. Salary: £27,709–£29,542 plus SEN allowance, pro rata.

The role requires DBS checks and EWC registration; experience with ALN/SEMH is advantageous; you will support 1:1 and small groups across our curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEND/ALN is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS for Child and Adult and EWC registration is required or advantageous.
• Excellent classroom practice with ICT integration is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support and teach groups of pupils and provide 1:1 academic support across the curriculum.
• Contribute to a stimulating, person-centred learning environment and use ICT to enhance learning.
