Job summary

Thrive Group's Knowlsey-area school is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs. You will help each child access the curriculum, develop independence, and reach their potential.

Responsibilities include one-to-one or small-group support, promoting confidence and self-esteem, and assisting with positive behaviour management and resource adaptation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach are important.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small-group support.
• Encourage independence, confidence and self-esteem in pupils.
• Support with behaviour management using positive approaches.
• Help prepare and adapt classroom resources to meet individual needs.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all pupils.
