Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) to join a network of SEND schools in Tower Hamlets, East London. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, supporting pupils with a range of needs and contributing to inclusive learning.

The successful candidate will have an Enhanced DBS, DBS Update Service, SEND experience, and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping children progress.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS Certificate.
• DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Previous SEND experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for supporting children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support.
• Assisting pupils in accessing learning activities.
• Promoting independence and confidence.
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs.
• Helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
