Axcis Education is recruiting a confident and nurturing SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Barking & Dagenham, supporting pupils within the school’s Additional Resource Provision (ARP).
This is a full-time, long-term role starting after the October half term, working with children who may need additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, engagement and accessing learning.
The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships while maintaining clear routines, boundaries and expectations.
The ideal candidate will understand that behaviour is often a form of communication and will be able to remain calm, patient and consistent when pupils are struggling to regulate.
The role is based within a primary school in Barking & Dagenham, working as part of a supportive ARP team providing pupils with a more individualised and structured learning environment. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children who may find mainstream classroom expectations difficult and wants to help them develop the regulation, confidence and independence needed to succeed.
