Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support students at a secondary school in Weymouth, Dorset. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH, ASC and additional learning needs.
You will work with teachers and the pastoral team to create a positive learning environment, promote emotional regulation, and help students access lessons. Prior experience with young people is desirable, but commitment and empathy are key.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), communication difficulties and additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, engage in learning and achieve their full potential.
As a Classroom Assistant, you will provide essential support to students both on a 1:1 basis and through small-group interventions. You will work collaboratively with teachers and the wider pastoral team to create a positive and nurturing learning environment where every student can succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor or Care Worker would be advantageous, but is not essential.
