Job summary

Powys County Council aims to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Special) at Brynllywarch Hall School, Brynbach, Ystradgynlais. Based at Brynbach Satellite Unit, the role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, with a permanent contract and a pay grade of 5 (pts 7–9).

The successful candidate will support students with challenging behaviours, work both in small groups and one-to-one, and may assist with travel arrangements for pupils. DBS and EWC registration are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to work with groups of 8 to 10 students as well as one to one.

Responsibilities

• Support students with challenging behaviours as part of a team.
• Assist travel arrangements for pupils at the start and end of the school day.
• Subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
