Job summary

Welshpool CiW Primary School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with behaviour, communication, emotional and social development needs. Appointment is a fixed-term contract for 32.5 hours per week, with training opportunities to enhance ALN knowledge.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher and ALNCO, be proactive, and build strong relationships with professionals to support the child’s development within the school

Qualifications

• Experience of working 1:1 with children with behaviour, communication, emotional and social development difficulties.
• Experience of working closely with Class Teacher/ALNCO and other professionals.
• Flexible, pro-active and hands on approach.
• Vision, energy and enthusiasm for this challenge and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with behaviour, communication, emotional and social development needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and ALNCO to implement support plans.
• Maintain professional relationships with school staff and external professionals.
